Academy Goal
To provide our students with a strong foundation and appreciation for understanding developments in the rapidly advancing biomedical fields of medicine and biotechnology.Academy Curriculum
9th Grade
Health I: To build a students' knowledge base of the different systems of the Human Body and its application to Medicine.
10th Grade
Biotechnology I: Laboratory based course to teach students the underlying concepts of both theoretical and applied biotechnological research.
11th Grade
Biotechnology Research: Learn advanced techniques of Biotechnology.
Medicine: Learn about disease, cancer, and other medical problems and their prevention.
12th Grade
Biomedical Innovations: Students work independently at TERRA in an area of interest in the biomedical sciences and outline milestones in a long-term open ended problem, using skills learned throughout the program to complete the project.

Biotechnology Research Internship: Using biotechnological techniques, students develop a unique research project outside of TERRA at an independent research facility.
Medical Research Internship: Using medical techniques, students develop a unique research project outside of TERRA at an independent medical facility.
Forensics (elective): Students study aspects of criminal justice, analyzing evidence, DNA evidence, blood spatters, metallurgy, and entomology.
